audio books with British narrators have helped so much with my insomnia! I sometimes pick so-so books just to fall asleep to, ha!

I have not been able to get into audio books yet so still doing old fashioned reading over here and i feel like that makes me a little out of the loop ;) Shauna Niequest is one of my favorites! We've also read some of the same books this year! My husband bought me Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano—a modern take on Little Women, for my birthday this spring and it was one of my favorite fiction reads. Enchantment by Katherine May gave me some food for thought, I think I liked 'Wintering' a little better. Also read The Villa, This time tommorow by emma straub was a favorite along with the school for good mothers, a heavy and hard but insightful read. Some recent summer reads: The authenticity project by Clare Pooley thanks to my writing instructor Sonya for pointing me to this author! Also, One summer in Savannah by Terah Shelton Harris (it does have trigger warnings for SA) but was a beautifully written fiction about family, redemption, a bittersweet and tender look at family. Currently reading my first Emily Henry Novel as well! (Happy Place). My TBR stack is alot of non-fiction! lol strong like water and my amazon wishlist is long but hoping to read:

On Our Best Behavior: The Seven Deadly Sins and the Price Women Pay to Be GoodOn Our Best Behavior: The Seven Deadly Sins and the Price Women Pay to Be Good

by Elise Loehnen, You Could Make This Place Beautiful: A Memoir

by Maggie Smith, Momfluenced: Inside the Maddening, Picture-Perfect World of Mommy Influencer Culture by Sara Petersen, Screaming on the Inside: The Unsustainability of American MotherhoodScreaming on the Inside: The Unsustainability of American Motherhood

by Jessica Grose but trying to balance my non-fiction leanings with fiction too! Thank you for this amazing list!

Thanks for this list! I also LOVE listening to books and feel a little sense of accomplishment each time I finish one while also doing house work, driving kids to soccer practice, etc. It feels like a multi tasking win! 🙌🏻

Ooh I want to comment to comment about so many of these books! But that would make for a long comment. 😆 I didn’t know the author of The Push had another book! 🙈 I don’t know if I could handle it. 🫠 I loved all the Finlay books! Such an easy and fun listen!! This list reminded me I have the book, Parenting, on my desk, but haven’t read it yet!

I also love audio! And I didn’t know about the “skip the line” option on Libby. I wonder if my library has that option??

yes, and it's a similar chilling ending as The Push. The "skip the line" option is on the search page. A trick also, is when you put a book on hold and it shows up on "skip the line", a notification will pop up for you to borrow the book early, and Libby saves your place in it in case you don't finish it in the 7 days.
