The Vibe Five: Maroon, Linen, Wildflower Pumpkins, Over-the-Knee Boots, and Holiday House
mood board no. 002 for October
One // Maroon
There’s something about Taylor Swift’s Maroon that has me listening to it on repeat (she’s a wordsmith!), and now maroon is having a moment in my wardrobe and in my house. Bonus is that I’m apparently also color-matching some of the native plants on our property.
Hiking lite outfit: Good American sweatshirt // Vuori leggings // Lululemon belt bag // Sezane socks // Ryka boots
Two // Linen
We’re in the process of updating our master bedroom so it feels more like a retreat and less like an afterthought. We’ve upgraded our bed linens to, well, linen, which feels both luxe and lived-in.
Master bedroom updates: RH bed // Coop pillows // Quince European linen duvet set in Sand
Three // Wildflowers
After securing multiple bids for landscape design for the residential part of Hope Ranch (more on this in a future post), we’re finally in the preliminary stages of the project. Somewhere on the property, I want to incorporate a zone for wildflowers, so I can do fall crafts like this:
Four // Facebook Finds
Hand-me-downs, thrifted treasures, and Facebook finds are a few of my favorite things, and my local mom-to-mom sales and buy-nothing groups don’t disappoint. Given how easy it is to buy new things, I feel like a rebel whenever I find cute things used and/or highly discounted.
Five // Dark House by House Beautiful
True crime meets interior design? I’m in. But it’s the Holiday House episode that hooked me. Alyssa, a House Beautiful editor, breaks down T. Swift’s “The Last Great American Dynasty” track line by line, and it’s fascinating. The perfect October listen.

What’s inspiring you lately?
What are you into right now?
"So it's more like a retreat and less of an afterthought." This my main goal for our bedroom, too. Love this phrase. (And those boots! I have a pair in off-white and I cannot wait to wear them.)
Love the linen linens! One day I'll upgrade from our Target sheets that fall apart after two years. :|
